Also, the thought went through my head, "aren't you gonna wait for that to warm up", followed immediately by, "no, NEWFIE, they're BRED to go plunging into freezing cold water after some doof that just fell out his fishing dory... he's probably LIKING this." @stonebear2 @Starry1086 yes for the record I had turned the water temperature dial *down* on purpose because he'd just been out in the sun and I figured he'd prefer it be cold water than hot.
