I feel like the abusive mode of software business models is so embedded at this point that we have a generation of designers who don't actually know how to prioritize user utility — which was already complicated for folks to understand even before the enshittification started.
@dymaxion Not when real Quality Assurance is involved. Most engineers want to make good software, they value the input of QA professionals throughout the SWD process and final testing prior to release. The user experience and goals matter. However we have seen for decades that corporate interests generally favor cost cutting measures and QA is frequently the first to go.
