There's always some iteration of Stargate on somewhere down in the channels, yet I don't think I've heard or seen anyone actually mention Stargate since maybe the day after I saw the original in 1994. Even on mastodon!
@internetsdairy I think Stargate SG1 suffered that fate where the writers started running out of ideas but they kept making new seasons anyway, so everyone just sort of drifted away slightly embarrassedly.
Would have been better to build up to a strong finale and leave fans with something to talk about.
@Tattie tbh I didn't think the original warranted any kind of follow-up... but we are three decades later!
