I'm confused about the Jacob Rees-Mogg gerrymandering claim. Like, yes, voter ID was obvious voter suppression, but that's... not... what gerrymandering means?
Gerrymandering is when you adjust electoral constituency borders to get an unfair advantage, e.g. by moving more opposing party voters into your own party's safe seat areas to dilute their effect. Instituting voter ID mandates is not that.
I'm genuinely confused here. How would Mogg not know this? And if he does... wut?
