People will reply saying they need to be snappy pieces of content otherwise people won’t read it. But people don’t read it anyway. Give me numbers, help me understand
Lots of groups are fundraising this Christmas, small and large. Help me understand what you need, what my money is actually doing.
This is why I focus my monthly donations on individuals because they say what they need, by whatever date.
Additionally, big charities will put my money in their bonus pocket and not give it to the person who needs it
It’s not “boy who cried wolf” because I believe most orgs need the money. But it’s “boy gets threatened by wolf every year but never tells me where the wolf is or explains how I can defend him from the wolf”
This is a bad analogy okay I’ve got a lot on right now

I believe that to many people that wikipedia banner will actually be "new" or at least they won't remember the last time, so I believe that it works.
Not that wikipedia appears to really need the money - from what I hear they're pretty flush.
@james Good call buddy! Radical transparency before businesses bang their begging bowls! I like it.
