By working with, I mean that they’re now using the Brave API as well as other companies. And well, I read a few posts from USERS about cancel culture and how it’s gay to not support the gays, whilst the Kagi team are like “hey now don’t say that stuff” but still.
Honestly I am very not smart because I assumed Kagi was a standalone thing? Not something that takes in the results from other search providers.
But that’s me holding my hands up, I’m foolish
Though I am now more confused than ever why I’d pay for it. Because right now they don’t shit on their results like Google? Privacy? There was a time Google was usable.
Very funny to see some devs be like “no it’s fine he hates gays that’s just his opinion and has no impact” but suddenly see the light when you remind them that brave did some naughty poo poo tech shit
Against the gays, fine! But shill crypto to me? How dare
Anyway this is my summary and is probably wrong

FWIW I am going to try Kagi out on their free trial next week because DuckDuckGo and Google are terrible and has started to impact my day to day. But I don’t see how I won’t be complaining about how their searches went downhill in 10 years.
Their goal is to be the best search/browser/assistant in the world. Like every other search and browser company. I though the focus was on search and to do one thing well. 🤷🏻♂️
