@gsuberland did he go with something relatively "proper"/planned or a hodge-podge of gadgets?

@HeNeArXn he DIY'd a ton of it, and there's lots of ecosystems involved. he's got WiFi and ZigBee and Z-Wave stuff because he has so many smart switches and such that he can't run them all on one band due to congestion and the meshing being unreliable. but even the stuff within a single ecosystem seems to be full of frictions.
