Sunset #sota to round the weekend off, Kerloch GM/ES-059 with contacts from Peterhead to Dundee on 2m. The RH770 is a solid antenna.

10km walked, 450m climbed and summit activated in under 2 hours. Pleased with the pace.

More wind than I expected, shorts and no gloves was a brave combination on the summit for this time of year!

I made lots of excited sounds when I hit the shoulder of the hill and the landscape came into view, bathed in light about 15 minutes before sundown. It was a joy to be on the summit at that time.

I was out portable Saturday and Sunday evenings, and Sunday and Monday mornings, but the sunrises and sunsets weren't so pretty (and the camera is pants at dramatic colours anyway). #amateurradio #hamradio

The sun is setting behind a ragged tree at a picnic spot. Another tree has fallen, and a third is down but still growing. A lake can be glimpsed through gaps in the undergrowth. There's a bike parked beside a picnic table on a concrete slab, and a slender mast at one corner is supporting a wire antenna.
