Grudging intro: I’m a Ph.D. materials scientist/engineer at a big global corporation that you have probably heard of. At work, I deal with #metals, #chemistry, “joining,” figuring out why things broke, and a seemingly endless raft of other stuff. And meetings—so many meetings. I also have a degree in Russian language and literature that I haven’t made much use of over the past several decades. Lived in Vladivostok during a few of the Yeltsin years (US Peace Corps… that really worked out, huh?)
