I keep wanting to get into DIY with things like laying a small vinyl floor in my new craft room (2mx3m), but then it all gets very complicated quickly and I just feel tired
@CatherineFlick OMG this was at the top of my to-do list about 9 months ago! IKWYM.
I got a bit sidetracked by "omg this new London Tube moquette would be amazeballs" and found some limits on what patterns I could custom-make — but tantalizingly not enough to rule it out
And this is the kind of project that I hate to repeat, so I intend a full "do it once, do it right" approach for 20+ years, no less
@CatherineFlick this is every DIY project ever. I go in full of enthusiasm, and the view that it can't be that hard, then eight hours later I'm sat on the floor surrounded by a random assortment of tools and happy to concede at "well, it's only slightly worse than it was when I started".
