I know I sound like a mix of evangelist / nerd right now but I can't stop raving about @OmniFocus and I can't believe it took me this long to get into it.
@Daojoan do you have any decent guides you could recommend? I tried using it last week and couldn’t really work out how everything fits together.

@Daojoan @OmniFocus I used it for my private tasks for years and can’t complain. But in parallel I used org-mode for work and got hooked that you can freely mix notes and tasks in the same document, convert one to the other and vice-versa, create your own views - but a poor mobile experience. At some point I found the perfect solution for me, which is #Obsidian with Obsidian Tasks. Most flexible setup I ever had, without the need of heavy elisp customizations.

@Daojoan I’m a long time Things user but have been butting up against some limits with that around different contexts blurring into each other.
