One issue with the #emfcamp schedule, AFAICT - if I hold multiple tickets, the other ticketed attendees don't have an account on the website with which to heart the talks / feed the scheduling algorithm. Am I holding it wrong?

Yeah. Go in to you account and transfer the ticket. All you need is an email address.

Transfer them to `your.email+kid.name@email.com` or similar?
