I find it strange that Americans are usually paid every two weeks.
In the UK, salaries are usually monthly.

@Edent the dysfunctional US financial system perpetually amazes me tbh, especially given how obsessed the place is with "moving little green pieces of paper around" as Douglas Adams put it.
