@Edent the BL had a combination of cover letter and filling in little form boxes, and it was disastrous for tech recruitment
@Edent I feel like you’re doing well if the majority of CVs even come with a cover letter. Most of what I see these days is just a bare CV, often five pages long and covering every job the candidate has ever had, and the fact they were captain of their school hockey team (genuinely a thing mentioned on one CV I saw).

Nope.
I have an introductory sentence, then the words "I address the selection criteria below", then succinct bullet points stating each criterion followed by my answer, then a closing sentence.
Maybe a tiny bit of hidden text with some keywords. That's it.
