My washing machine has 11 programs but I have only ever used one. My dishwasher has five but I've only ever used one. And I never change the microwave power settings, either. Manufacturers should focus on reliability and not options.
@anon_opin I both agree, and am sure the washing machine engineers despair at how much nicer my clothes could be if I just sorted them and used the proper programs.
@anon_opin Those are not options, but essential functionalities. Why should the whole world cater to your laziness?
@anon_opin I use two of the programmes of my washing machine, but have to adjust the second because none do what I want. So much time wasted by poor design. Microwave? One of the buttons; repeat to add 30 seconds.
My car has a bewildering number of functions, most of which I'd never use. It lacks, however, three which I want - one of which is raising the driver's seat. Shocking. Had to buy a cushion for the first time since 1992, though suppose I could sit on the instruction manual.
@anon_opin yeah, but have you considered, that another person does the same with a different setting? ,;)
And just for the record: on my WM I regularly use 7 programs and 3 on my dishwasher. ;)
Washing Machine Engineer: This program is precision designed to provide longevity and comfort for green cotton clothing.
Me: Mixed.
