Anyone over the age of 14 who enthusiastically discusses anime makes me almost physically embarrassed on their behalf.

A lot of things are classified as "anime". Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is an anime. Death Note is an anime. Evangelion is an anime. A lot of mature anime shows out there, so if you think "anime" is just some pre-teen coomer stuff with enticing high school girls or whatever, and not a wide category of shows, then you are sorely mistaken.
@anon_opin I find that almost everybody embarrassed by childish things is someone who's just barely out of childhood and feels like they must prove they are a big boy now.
@anon_opin how dare people enjoy things. Adult life should be a relentless grind towards retirement, followed by being bitter that you’re too old to enjoy anything now.
