they might be able to repair it, but they're having to shelter in an escape capsule in the meantime.
oh, literally the very minute I posted this the shelter order got cancelled.

@cR0w my car is literally doing that right now. well, the weird noise is an engine malfunction alarm, but I can't read out the fault code with my cheap OBD reader and every time I go to a garage the fault goes away.
