Aww... The battery feels safe enough to open it's shell. Hi there little guy!
@catsalad I am appeased to know the spicy pillow is where it should be: outside, in the wilderness of non-flammable concrete
Spicy pillows are not pets
@catsalad There is a reddit group for this: https://www.reddit.com/r/spicypillows/
@catsalad Yes, bury your energy way down deep little battery, what's the worst that could happen?
@catsalad it might be poisonous because of the algal blooms right now, maybe rethink if you're considering eating it
@catsalad [David Attenborough voice] Here the power bank finds itself not in its natural habitat of the electronics junk drawer, but instead on the sidewalk. Being an unfamiliar territory, it puffs up its cells in an effort to appear a larger, more formidable opponent to any would-be predators. In this extremely puffed state, it’s highly volatile, as the pouches are filled with hydrogen gas. Piercing a pouch, or even too much pressure could cause it to explode violently.
@catsalad Be careful, they can become very spicy when touched in a wrong way!
Or just looked at in a wrong way.
Or just left alone in a wrong way.
@catsalad combining lithium batteries with thin black shells and then add solar panels to invite people putting them in the sun, while lithium tends to start degrading at like 50-60C, always seemed like an interesting design choice
edit: wait no it just looks like solar panels a bit. Then I guess it's just another clam that feels safe enough to start feeding 🦪
@catsalad hi. Battery expert here. This is not funny. Batteries only do this when they’re under extreme distress.
@catsalad It’s so sweet how they make themselves look all big to try and scare away predators and rival batteries!
@catsalad Shit like this is why my local waste disposal & recycling center has a huge-ass & dry sandbox to put #Lithium #batteries in!
