Edit: thanks all, I have picked up a new grinder. early xmas present to myself I guess! coffee nerds, my grinder has packed it in. what should I get? I need a workhorse daily type one that does some sort of dosing (either timed or whatever). I had a Eureka mignon specialita before, it was ... okay. The LCD died about a year in to ownership and then the motor packed it in today :(

@CatherineFlick I have the Sage Smart Grinder Pro, which is in fact not smart at all. I bought it after many years of replacing crappy grinders that would die after a year or so and it’s been rock solid.
