I served on a Royal Navy submarine. It annoys me probably more than it should that there always seems to be random leaks on submarines in film and tv. That wouldn't happen in real life. If you have a leak in your sub at those depths, you're completely fucked. Total implosion,
@fesshole cc to OP.
My first flight in a CH-47 meant I was sitting under a fluid valve. There was an intermittent drip. I noticed, grabbed the loadmaster as he passed, pointed it out.
He chuckled, said if there was a leak, it meant that there is still fluid in the lines, which is a good thing.
I sweated that flight, the bastards. =)
@fesshole Ever played BioShock? That city at the bottom of the sea was built out of colanders. Probably to show off the neat water effects
@fesshole I'm assuming from the way the final sentence ends with a comma, that there was a total implosion.
@fesshole as a printer I wholeheartedly agree. No sir, those zinco block ‘plates’ you stole are not what the US treasury used to print dollars and certainly not on that little offset press.
