I had a weirdly uncomfortable moment when I referred to myself by my first name in the third person in that last post I made, and was about to post here to ask if anyone else gets that, and then realised that lol, it's fedi, that's like half of all users
(for me it's mostly because I'm usually referred to by a pet name or as "polynomial" depending on the social circles, so hearing my own name directly is somewhat unusual at this point)
@gsuberland I just looked at a birthday card from my wife and thought āover 25 years together and she still canāt spell my name rightā, but it was right and I just canāt process it as my name.
@gsuberland polynomial = having many names ?
@gsuberland I this anytime someone calls me Jonathan, which while technically my name no one but very old friends of my parentās have used since I was about 5.
@gsuberland also my credit card company, which makes my balance statement emails which come with a subject of āJonathan, your latest balance is availableā sound like theyāre passive aggressively judging me.
@Extelec @gsuberland no, that's having many gnomes. You're thinking of polynominative.
@gsuberland noman, Latin for name ?
