currently this bot is set to hourly posting. I'd like to get a good balance between not filling up your feed but also providing enough opportunities for funny combos.
what would be your preferred posting frequency for this bot?
@weirdunits @gsuberland much slower than any of those options. Maybe every six hours. Fedi isn’t high enough volume for something that posts every hour or more not to completely drown everything else out.
@weirdunits @gsuberland I saw “posts every hour” and decided not to follow because I knew that would be what happened.
@jon @weirdunits I may create a "weirdunits_infrequent" variant in future for folks who follow just a handful of low-volume accounts, but for the main bot I think hourly would be the lowest frequency I'd consider, if only because I'd find it boring otherwise (for ref: I follow a few 10 minute freq bots and even combined they still don't dominate my feed, but that's largely 'cos I follow >750 people)

@gsuberland i follow about 300 people and 1h seems about right for post frequency
