huh, just been told Monday is a bank holiday.
Thank fuck, I really need this upcoming four day weekend because I am this close to packing it all in and renting a house in Berlin for a month.
@jon i already dont work Fridays, so technically I'm being stolen from as I have not been given an extra day to account for this bank holiday that falls on my working day :P
@flauschpolizei @james we work four day weeks, but if there’s a bank holiday that’s the day off. (Like an idiot I forgot about this, and didn’t work Monday anyway, so will be working on Friday, or maybe taking a day of leave)
I'd have to talk to HR about it and I still have to tell them they calculated my holiday wrong in the first place and even if I did find the energy to send that email, i can't guarantee they'd fix anything

i could easily just take the time myself by having an extra days holiday when I next go away, as no-one will check the holidays anyway
but
a) requires me to remember to do that
b) history suggests the people working legally within a broken system will be penalised eventually for doing nothing wrong lol
