Kids who can't afford the school trip should just get to go home. Sitting in an unheated classroom watching Shrek 2 with the other poors isn't adding anything to their education, it's a humiliation ritual.

@jon @anon_opin this, and the above assumes there is someone at home to look after them - as single parents are much more likely to be poor, and they'll need to work, that's probably not the case.
