I feel we aren’t asking the right questions.
We shouldn’t be asking why aren’t SNAP benefits flowing.
We should be asking why we need them in the first place.
Why aren’t we getting paid living wages?
Why isn’t there a basic UBI that’s guaranteed to everyone?
Why isn’t food, shelter, and jobs a basic right?
@majorlinux I agree, although not thinking big enough. Why do jobs need to be a human right? We could support society even if a bunch of people decided to go make art, or research a particular ant, or hell, just watched Simpsons all day.

I’m more thinking of people who want to work to contribute to siciety having the ability to do so.
I like doing SysAdmin work and solving problems. It shouldn’t be a struggle to find jobs that allow me to use my skills to benefit society.
@majorlinux absolutely agreed on that, I think you just fired off the same reaction I have when politicians talk about hard working people, as if working hard is what makes someone worth caring about.
