Anthropic is bragging about rolling their own from-scratch in-house version control system because git couldn't keep up with their 30,000 commits per day, and it doesn't seem to occur to them for a nanosecond that they are not fixing the actual problem in their engineering practices but making it exponentially worse
@0xabad1dea Actually reading that it seems they've just written a client/server version control system.
Those have their advantages especially in corporate environments but they're hardly new, as someone who wrote and maintained one back in the day.
@tony I’m not sure what you’re “actuallying” because the architecture of the vcs is completely irrelevant to the actual problem here
