@eloy I’m not aware of any device ever which has actually implemented Ethernet over HDMI so I think you’re probably safe unless you own the only example of an HDMI network switch ever manufactured.

@eloy @jon wouldn't it be ironic if it turned out that LG had gone on and quietly implemented HEC in its TVs... (still doesn't matter because no other devices do)

@hyc @eloy @jon Something tells me that if they ever do, a lot of very unlucky people will just happen to have the one single other device ever made that actually implements it and not know that they do.

sounds like a fun DIY PCB design project but I don't have a good track record when it comes to signal integrity :^)
