Just been sent to bed by my flat because I stayed up too late watching YouTube. After ignoring the first change in lighting some time ago midnight came round and it turned off the TV.
Today’s Flight Sim bullshit was a flight cut short by an actual in-flight emergency, in the form of my joystick breaking and repeatedly getting stuck when banking. Just about landed the plane on the runway, with a lot of stall warnings, and a terrible approach.
And to think I typically make fun of the people who do the full pre-flight checklist including checking controls in a simulator.
My wife told me to take the spider out instead of killing him.
Went out. Had a few drinks. Nice guy. He's a web designer.
Specialises in debugging.
I would like a term for the eventual evolution of all YouTubers towards screaming into the camera about their latest slightly shady sounding charity. Like carcinisation, but instead of crabs it’s sob stories.
Starbucks eliminated plastic straws to help the environment BUT gives their CEO a private jet to commute WEEKLY to work between his California home and their Seattle headquarters.
It's funny how regular folks have to sacrifice while the rich can continue to live with no regard for the planet or anyone on it

@tychotithonus @catsalad I was aware of ABU but maybe naively had assumed the issuers were also aware of it, and weren’t going to *send the new card details to exactly the same people who just fraudulently used the old ones*.
@scarlet @gsuberland they’ve all got a copy already, all you have to do is pay someone to suggest an internal multiplayer server.
Today in Flight Sim: I upgraded to a plane with an autopilot, and then proceeded to spend an hour trying to make it fly the plane. Eventually got it to go somewhere near the airport and then flew the approach manually.
Me: “No, a film is a bit long for this evening”
Also me: Proceeds to watch two and a bit hours of YouTube video on the Garmin G1000 instrument panel for planes.
Minecraft YouTubers balance your audio so you don’t have to shout over the backing music challenge. Difficulty level: Impossible
@JackEric@strangeobject.space @sinvega congrats on having a non-terrible landlord. I ended up buying a new washing machine myself because I needed a working one within the week and knew my landlord would never pull that off.
Feels like I’m improving at Flight Sim now 4 take offs, 4 landings today, only 1 go round. I need to print a checklist I can see because I keep doing things like going to increase flaps for landing only to find I never brought them up after take off.

Landed twice this evening in my Flight Sim adventures. Neither was tidy, and in one I nearly ran out of runway, but its progress. Also getting gradually better at flying straight and level.
If I was anonymously holding a government to ransom and a judge ruled that I must reveal my identity and give everything back, I would simply not do that
Today in my current fascination with Flight Simulator I successfully took off, flew around a bit, found the airport I’d left from again, and landed the plane at it.
I then entirely missed the taxiway because I was a little eager to get off the runway before slowing down enough but I’m taking this as a win.
@Apiary @saraislet if you’re expected to work during vacation, quit.
Finally got round to watching Jurassic World Dominion this evening after putting it off because everyone said it was awful. It was about an hour too long, and squandered the premise of humanity living alongside dinosaurs, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as it was made out to be.
I needed to charge my TV remote the other day, so now it’s on the end of the long USB-C cable I keep there for charging things like game controllers and I kind of love the 70s vibes it gives off.
It’s more a disinformation B-road now, with occasional stretches of information that jump up on you out of nowhere.
