Having one of those days where I really get why everyone is so keen to just go build some completely new software for their specific needs as I attempt to glue together half a dozen open source servers into doing what I want them to.

Long term this should work well, and I get to build on top of incredibly well tested software that I know will scale. Short term I can’t help but think it would be easier to write some code that does exactly what I want.
