Using browser extensions I’ve trimmed YouTube down to just the subscriptions page with no related videos shown.
It’s amazing how boring it becomes when there isn’t endless content to consume!
I don’t measure my screen time but I suspect more of it is spent in more useful places now.
@rachel I have once again been reminded that I need to write a subscriptions only YouTube client for tvOS sometime, because almost all my YouTube time is on the TV where extensions don’t work.
@jon my experience is so much better since uninstalling the apps for things. I quite fancy a weekly scheduled job to send me some new videos to watch, though!
I also got rid of my TV because it was sucking up hours and hours. Now my iPad is doing that but I am gonna sell that too.
