From whence comes the idea that people have either the need or the right to maintain and be consulted on their neighbourhood character?
@ipsquiggle this has given me complex feelings. I think people should have more input into local development, I’m a proponent of extreme devolution. That doesn’t necessarily mean that people should be allowed to veto things because they’re different though, or chase a pub that’s been there long before they moved in out of the area on the grounds of noise.
