I am once again demanding an “it’s ok, nothing to worry about” message on the outside of HMRC envelopes which contain good/neutral news.

I had somehow entirely missed Eurovision is tomorrow until right now, presumably because I no longer use Twitter which would historically alert me to it months in advance with the constant stream of takes.

@pikesley in fairness I never do either, it’s handy on the odd occasion I do though.

@HeNeArXn @Edent @pikesley @andypiper kids tickets don’t need transferring, we’ll have something in place to allow workshop booking for them.

@pikesley docker ps --format "table {{.Names}}\t{{.Image}}\t{{.State}}"

@benno I actually let out a little scream when I saw it.

@vncresolver you’d think they’d have made a bit more progress on whatever this is since the last scan.

Next time round I'm going to call up every supplier who spams EMF suggesting they can replace [thing] for us just to see how confused they are by the requirements. "Yes phone supplier, support for dial-up networking is crucial, as is fax to ActivityPub."

@catsalad I don’t think I’ve ever met a cat which speaks goose before.

Landowner David Hampton planted larch pines in a Douglas fir forest in Oregon in the shape of a giant, 300 feet smiley face 🙂

Every autumn, the larch pines turn orange, and the smiley face stands out.

The average festival does not result in thousands of lines of code in the preceding month. Electromagnetic Field was an outlier and should not have been counted.

Someone just walked into this pub with a child and a ukulele. As far as I’m concerned that should be grounds for getting instantly barred.

@erbridge @alice annoyingly, not currently. Is this a “they need a job now” thing, because we’re working on drastically reducing wasted energy in commercial real estate, and will likely be hiring in the nearish future.

@gsuberland I’m very split on some of that stuff if it’s the same as it was when I last read it. Secure auth and commitment to security updates is a big win. Requiring signed firmware less so if you care about being able to continue using things once the vendor abandons them.

The problem with replying to emails is that shortly afterwards there are more emails to reply to.

@james in contrast, I very much like having them in separate places, because I use them in different contexts, and I think they have different requirements in terms of UI.

holy shit. they actually called it "reply guy". seeing the Torment Nexus and copying it for profit is one thing, but seeing a reply guy and being like "I can monetize that" is a whole new type of evil.

Today in the week that keeps on giving, the washing machine is broken. I think it’s filling up with water but it then refuses to spin, I’d kind of been hoping for a quiet morning rather than one in which I crack open a washing machine.

@sophiegarrett @moraghickman oh that’s fantastic! Truly this year’s artwork is the gift that keeps on giving.
