How is it possible to make it so hard to log into a game for the kids? Minecraft on Switch and iPad are impossible-tier level user experiences just to log in and I have honestly given up it’s just so bad. Not worth keeping this Realms sub going if it’s just not able to be played. I’m so cross.

Try to login on a Win11 PC; sorry, you need to be logged in to Windows Store
Try to do it on a Mac; sorry, Mac only launches the Java version
Try to do it on kids switch; sorry, only unsupervised accounts can pay for realms
Try to do it on my switch; sorry, $YourChild has the virtual game card for this game

@networkstring @CatherineFlick something has gone very wrong when setting up a VPN connection and forwarding traffic over it from a server elsewhere to Minecraft on his laptop is an easier option for letting the boy play with friends than paying the developers to run a server.
